I’m George, a clinical psychologist and board-approved clinical supervisor practising in East Melbourne. I work with adults and provide individual psychotherapy for all domains of human suffering. This includes trauma, grief, depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, health difficulties, academic performance, life direction and drug and alcohol issues. I have a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology with experience in public and private health settings.
I strive to practice in line with my values of care, compassion, warmth, autonomy and knowledge. My aim is for us to work collaboratively to gather a sense of where you see yourself stuck in life and in what ways you are wishing for growth. Once we have an understanding of the direction you would like to move, I can suggest a number of evidence-based therapeutic approaches that may assist you in that movement.
Beyond specific approaches, it is important that we are able to work effectively together. As part of my practice I seek regular feedback to check in with you to see that our work together is feeling like the right fit and to tailor our therapy accordingly.
Therapies I provide
Intensive Short Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP)
Compassion Focussed Therapy
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy
Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy
Trauma focused Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, including prolonged exposure
Cognitive Processing Therapy
Clinical Supervision
I provide clinical supervision for clinicians in psychology and other health professions who wish to develop and grow their skills in psychotherapy. I am a board-approved supervisor across all levels of psychologist accreditation including the Clinical Registrar pathway.
